Tourism Studies

Tourism is an incredible diverse industry and offers a huge range of career opportunities.

Get a taste for which area of tourism you’re most interested in on this course. In part one you’ll learn about the industry, tourist destinations, being a tour guide, marketing and customer service. This part also includes a NZQA unit standard 18212 Demonstrate knowledge of New Zealand as a tourist destination.

 

Part two is optional but gives you the opportunity to complete up to three additional unit standards which will give you a broader understanding of the industry in New Zealand and further afield.


Upon completion of this course you will be awarded a Stotts Cengage Education Tourism Studies Certificate.

Prerequisites: Open entry
Assessments: 14 lessons / 14 assignments
Duration: This course must be completed within 24 months.
24 Months = 5 hours a week study
12 Months = 9 hours a week study
Level: Level 3
