Chinese (Mandarin) Studies

New Zealand is increasingly strengthening our ties with China on both a business and tourist level. This makes a basic grasp of Chinese a real asset from both a career and personal perspective. Here you’ll learn Mandarin or Modern Standard Chinese (or Putonghua, Guoyo or Hanyu), which is spoken by the vast majority of China’s large population. It is also spoken by some of the large trading countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.

This course will help you to communicate in Chinese and also write in simple Chinese. Upon completion of this course you will be awarded a Stotts Cengage Education Certificate in Chinese Studies.
